"How is love supposed to be ? How is it supposed to be? All I could say to her was be your eyes shut, or wide open, you see your beloved." That quote is from the opening speech in this video. I think Shahrukh's performance delivering the speech, as well as throughout this video, is superb. The girl with the cake in the beginning (played by the stunning Aishwarya Rai Bachchan) is the ghost of Sahrukh's love (or a figment of his imagination, depending on your view). No one in the room except for him can see her. She committed suicide when her Father forbade their match. The Father would be the person Shahrukh is speaking of in the speech where he says "but there was someone she was scared of". I love Shahrukh's performance in this whole scene. The speech at the beginning is beautifully spoken, and Shahrukh effortlessly moves from singing and moving normally to dancing and back again. His acting throughout is brilliant. This is the well polished performance of a master of his craft at the height of his game. I also tip my hat to the performances of the six young actors that make up some of the love stories in this movie: Jugal Hansraj, Uday Chopra, Jimmy Shergill, Kim Sharma, Shamita Shetty, and Preeti Jhangiani. The movie is Mohabbatein (Love Stories, in English). And, yes! that is the irrepressible Helen in a cameo at the end. She is the one in a red dress that Shahrukh dances with. And at the very end, the legendary Amitabh Bachchan makes an appearance as the stern headmaster.

Bhanu Goenda Jahar Assistant - Dr Digambar Chatterjee's daughter Nupur flees away from her home only because she had certain apprehension about her marriage. Dr Chatterjee announces an award of rupees ten thousand for whereabouts. Always unsuccessful private detectives Bhanu and his assistance Johar came across her picture in the newspaper. They decide to trace her out and take the award. Nupur, seeing her photo in the newspaper starts changing places until she lands in the house of a reputed singer Anjan, a bachelor. To hide Nupur from the eyes of detectives Anjan takes Nupur to a hilly region. But relentless Bhanu and Johar ultimately discover Nupur with Anjan. They inform Nupur's whereabouts to her father Dr Chatterjee comes only to realise that the person with whom he wanted to marry his daughter was Anjan only. All is well in the end of his hilarious comedy. Though Bhanu and Johar fail to get the award money, they taste the success for the first time in their professional carrier. suryavansham part 11 For generations the Sooryavansh family has ruled the village communities and its people justly and fairly. Current generation is headed by Thakur Bhanupratap Singh (Amitabh Bachchan) who is feared and respected in the village. He has 3 sons; the youngest named Heera (Amitabh in a dual role) is treated like a servant because he is the most illiterate of the family, and he will not have anything to do with him. Heera is an obedient son and always respectful of his father despite his father's indifference. His father is enraged when Heera proposes to marry his childhood sweetheart, Gauri (Rachana Bannerjee); and even more angered when Heera backs down promising never to marry again. Unknown to Thakur, Gauri refuses to marry an illiterate and makes Heera promise that he will not marry her. At this time, Radha (Soundarya) enters his life; understanding his gentle and kind manner, she loves and proposes to marry him. She encourages Heera to live independently; and to help set up his own business. By now, Heera is completely disowned by his father Thakur for breaking his promise of lifelong bachelorhood. Heera and Radha leave the village to live in their own home and Heera becomes a successful businessman, and Radha an important government officer. Soon, they are blessed with a son. Heera successfully fulfills what was once his father's dream, a charitable hospital for the poor. Thakur comes to know of his grandchild, and meets him secretly without anyone knowing. One day, he is rushed to hospital, apparently poisoned by food sent to him by Heera, and Heera becomes the prime suspect of the attempted murder. In the end, it is revealed that the person responsible was Thakur's arch nemesis, Khewara Thakur. Khewara Thakur and Bhanupratap have a face-off in front of the hospital with Heera helping to eliminate the enemy.

She has reinvented herself numerous times in her career and is known for her ability to sustain her status.Taking part in both Indian mainstream and art cinema, she has achieved commercial success, as well as critical praise for numerous of her performances throughout the years. Her first performance-oriented role came in 1976 when she played an ambitious woman in Do Anjaane, co-starring Amitabh Bachchan. The film became a hit as well as a critical success, and she was widely noticed for her performance. Her most significant turning point, however, came in 1978, with her portrayal of a rape victim in the movie Ghar. The film was considered her first notable milestone, and her performance was applauded by both critics and audiences. She received her first nomination for Best Actress at the Filmfare Awards. In that same year, she first attained fame with Muqaddar Ka Sikander, in which she co-starred once again with Amitabh Bachchan. Even in 240th week of its release, Sholay was packing the theaters. Sholay grossed about 35 crore rupees in its first run, a record that remained unbroken for the next nineteen years. Sholay ran for more than five years. The film showcased two real life romances. Amitabh married Jaya Bhaduri, who played the widowed daughter-in-law, in 1973, during the filming. Dharmendra married Hema Malini, his second marriage, in 1980, five years after the release of the film.

One day dacoits attack his farmhouse with a view of stealing the stallions, but Maharaj fights them, killing the son of the leader of the dacoits, Maan Singh. Maan Singh swears to avenge the death of his son, and abducts Chimpoo. Years later, a servant of Maharaj, Ram Singh, brings a young man named Badal into the Singhs lives, and tells them that he is their missing son Chimpoo. Both Maharaj, Rukmini, and their daughter, Sunita, are delighted at having Chimpoo back in their lives. Then Badal and Sunita fall in love with each other. It is then Badal confesses to Maharaj that he is not Chimpoo, but a former convicted jailbird, who was asked to impersonate him by an embittered Ram Singh. Maharaj does not want to relay this information to an ailing Rukmini, and decides to keep it quiet for the rest of their lives. But sooner or later Rukmini is bound to find out - especially when Badal and Sunita openly show their love - will this shock of an intimate brother and a sister spare her or has fate something else in store for her.
