Muslim youths gangrape a Hindu girl in Surat

Surat police arrested three Muslim youths who kidnapped and gang raped a school girl in the city, within hours of the incident. Two of the suspects Shahid Saiyad and Tarik Saiyad are sons of Policemen. Shahids father Nizamuddin is Circle Police Inspector in Dholka, while Tariks father is Head Constable in Surat Polices Mahidharpura. One more suspect is Abu Bakar. According to Surat Police, Abu, Shahid and Tarik spotted the 17-year-old girl at a bus stop near the Regional Transport Office (RTO), Majura gate in the morning. A girl was exchanging Chemistry note with a boy. Shahid, Tarik and Abu called a girl near the car saying they were from Police. Later they pulled the girl and the boy in the car forcefully. They then tied a boy with a tree and continued to keep a girl in their car. Each of the three youths gang raped the girl in the moving car on rear seat and abandoned her on the Udhna road. They captured a video of rap incident and threatened the girl that they would make this video public if she complains. The badly bruised girl called up her parents from a telephone booth and narrated the incident to them. "Modern Girl" [1961] is an Indian Hindi film directed by R Bhattacharya. Starring Pradeep Kumar, Sayeeda Khan, Nalini Chonkar, Johny Walker and Smriti Biswas. Music is by Ravi and lyrics by Rajinder Krishen........... Mukesh Chand Mathur (Hindi: मुकेश चन्द माथुर) (22 July 1923 27 August 1976) was an Indian playback singer of Bollywood. Along with Mohammad Rafi, Manna Dey, Kishore Kumar, he dominated Indian film playback music from the 1950s to the 1970s. Mukesh's voice was noticed by Motilal (a popular actor in Hindi films, also a distant relative of Mukesh) when he sang at his sister's wedding. Motilal took him to Bombay, let him stay with him and even arranged for singing lessons by pandit jagannath prasad for him. During this period, Mukesh managed to bag a role in a Hindi film, Nirdosh (Innocent) (1941). His first song was dil hi bujha hua ho to as an actor singer for Nirdosh. He got his break as a playback singer for Actor Motilal himself in 1945 with the film Pehli Nazar'music by Anil Biswas & Lyrics by Aah Sitapuri' (First Look). The first song he sang for a Hindi film was Dil Jalta Hai to Jalne De (If the heart burns, let it burn), which was incidentally picturised on Motilal. Mukesh died of a heart attack on 27 August 1976 in Detroit, Michigan, USA, where he had gone for a concert. His body was carried back to India by Lata Mangeshkar, where a grand funeral ceremony took place as many famous actors, personalities of the Indian film industry, and fans paid tribute to the late singer. When the news of his death reached Raj Kapoor, he remarked, "I have lost my voice," which is a testimony to the timeless and unforgettable association of Mukesh's voice (in playback) to the immensely popular songs of Raj Kapoor's films. Highly impressed, he recommended her to his music recording company, HMV. At age 17, she provided her first playback singing for the movie, Mangu (1954), singing the song Koi Pukāre Dheere Se Tujhe. Kalyanpur provided playback singing for Miyān Bibi Rāzi (1960), Bāt Ek Rāt Ki (1962), Dil Ek Mandir (1963), Dil Hi To Hai (1963), Shagoon (1964), Jahān Āra (1964), Sānjh Aur Sawerā (1964), Noor Jahān (1967), Saathi (1968) and Pakeezāh (1971). She sang for composers Shankar Jaikishan, Roshan, Madan Mohan, S. D. Burman, Hemant Kumar, Chitragupta, Naushad, S. N. Tripathi, and Ghulam Mohammed, singing the most songs for the first two in the list. She has sung over 740 movie and non-movie songs. Kalyanpur also recorded some memorable songs with a classical base, including Manamohan Man Mein Ho Tumhi, Mere Sang Gā Gungunā, and Gir Gayi Re More Māthe Ki Bindiyā. She received three times the prestigious Sur Sringar Samsad award for the best classical song in a Hindi movie. SYNOPSIS: Vikram (Sunil Dutt) is a proud and wealthy man and adores his motherless daughter Chandni (Farah).
