56th Filmfare Awards - Red Carpet - Stars Entry - EXCLUSIVE

The stars came down in all their glory. It was a night to be remembered as everyone looked on with pride and admiration at the coveted Black Lady was presented to the deserving winners. A true celebration of excellence in Indian Cinema, the 56th Idea Filmfare Awards 2010 held at the YRF studios in Mumbai on the 29th of January, 2011 was a larger than life spectacle, a glorious representation of its legacy of over five decades. Through the years, Filmfare has become the most awaited event in the industry as everyone looks forward to this night of nights. With a slew of performances by the biggest names in filmdom, the annual Idea Filmfare Awards is now an extravagant gala of glitz, glamour, excitement and entertainment. This year, the 56th Idea Filmfare Awards was hosted by the new kings of cool -- the very suave Imran Khan and charming Ranbir Kapoor who bought the house down with their wit and humour. The performances were power packed with the beautiful Madhuri Dixit unleashing her magic and spellbinding the audience as she danced with Shahrukh Khan to hits from their movies like Devdas and Dil To Pagal Hain. Kareena Kapoor had everyone dancing to her tunes with a medley of songs from 3 Idiots, Golmaal 3, and Jab We Met. Priyanka Chopra set pulses racing and raised the temperature a good few notches with her tribute to Madhuri Dixit. she danced to hits like Ek Do Teen, Choli Ke Peeche and Dola Re. Amongst the other performers were the melodious Sonu Nigam, Bollywood's new blue eyed girl, Sonakshi Sinha, Anushka Sharma and Ranveer Singh who performed on a medley of songs from last year's box office hit Band Bajaa Baraat. Celebrating 25 years in the film industry, Madhuri Dixit was presented a special honour by the gorgeous Aishwarya Rai Bachchan; whilst Yash Chopra and Shahrukh Khan honoured Bollywood icon, Mr Amitabh Bachchan commemorating his 40 years of absolute dedication to the Indian film industry. The Lifetime Achievement Award was presented to legendary singer Manna De who received the honor amidst accolades and praise for his outstanding contribution to Indian Cinema. The 56th Idea Filmfare Awards would be telecast on the 6th of February 2011 exclusively on Sony Entertainment Television.Filmfare celebrated the entire years hard work of Bollywood industry by awarding and appreciating their piece of work on 29th January, 2011 at Yashraj Studios in Mumbai. The show was hosted by young Bollywoodactors and good friends Ranbir Kapoor and Imran Khan. 56th Filmfare Awards - Part 8 of 8 - EXCLUSIVE

The stars came down in all their glory. It was a night to be remembered as everyone looked on with pride and admiration at the coveted Black Lady was presented to the deserving winners. A true celebration of excellence in Indian Cinema, the 56th Idea Filmfare Awards 2010 held at the YRF studios in Mumbai on the 29th of January, 2011 was a larger than life spectacle, a glorious representation of its legacy of over five decades. Through the years, Filmfare has become the most awaited event in the industry as everyone looks forward to this night of nights. With a slew of performances by the biggest names in filmdom, the annual Idea Filmfare Awards is now an extravagant gala of glitz, glamour, excitement and entertainment. This year, the 56th Idea Filmfare Awards was hosted by the new kings of cool -- the very suave Imran Khan and charming Ranbir Kapoor who bought the house down with their wit and humour. The performances were power packed with the beautiful Madhuri Dixit unleashing her magic and spellbinding the audience as she danced with Shahrukh Khan to hits from their movies like Devdas and Dil To Pagal Hain. Kareena Kapoor had everyone dancing to her tunes with a medley of songs from 3 Idiots, Golmaal 3, and Jab We Met. Priyanka Chopra set pulses racing and raised the temperature a good few notches with her tribute to Madhuri Dixit. she danced to hits like Ek Do Teen, Choli Ke Peeche and Dola Re. Amongst the other performers were the melodious Sonu Nigam, Bollywood's new blue eyed girl, Sonakshi Sinha, Anushka Sharma and Ranveer Singh who performed on a medley of songs from last year's box office hit Band Bajaa Baraat. Celebrating 25 years in the film industry, Madhuri Dixit was presented a special honour by the gorgeous Aishwarya Rai Bachchan; whilst Yash Chopra and Shahrukh Khan honoured Bollywood icon, Mr Amitabh Bachchan commemorating his 40 years of absolute dedication to the Indian film industry. The Lifetime Achievement Award was presented to legendary singer Manna De who received the honor amidst accolades and praise for his outstanding contribution to Indian Cinema. Sneak peek at the Rajiv Gandhi Awards Ceremony

There was lots of glitter, plenty of glam, loads of entertainment and a number of lessons of excellence at the 12th Rajiv Gandhi Awards 09 ceremony held on Wednesday at the NCPA. As anchors Shreyas Talpade and Mahima Chaudhary took centrestage and entertained the packed hall, politicians from across the country, sportspersons, Bollywoodians and others sat back for an afternoon of tributes, awards and merriment. Shreyas and Mahima made the politicians sing their favourite songs. Vilasrao Deshmukh cheerfully declined the proposal saying he had never sung in his life, while Vilas Muttemwar impressed with his Jab Koi Baat Bigad Jaye number. Former cricketer Mohammed Azharuddin, the newest politico on the block, sang Tere Bina Jiya Jaye Na for wife Sangeeta Bijlani, who was accompanying him. And when the good-looking Jyotiraditya Scindia came on stage with Madhur Bhandarkar, Mahima couldnt help but remark that the filmmaker should consider Jyotiraditya for his next. Later, Milind Deora was asked what he liked better — being a rockstar guitarist or a politician. Milind, of course, said he could do both. When Rajeev Shukla came on stage with Katrina Kaif to give away an award, he wittily thanked God that he wasnt asked to come with Kripa-shankar Singh! The latter of course was most sporting and burst out laughing, waiting for Shukla to step down from the stage! Shahid Kapoor enthralled the audience with a sudden jig. Hrithik Roshan and Priyanka Chopra put up some enchanting performances. Hrithiks son Hrehaan, who was seated with Sussanne, seemed to love his daddys performance. Not surprising, the little one became the centre of attention. Also present at the event were Shekhar Suman, Poonam Dhillon, Tulip Joshi, Suresh Shetty, Vijay Kalantri, Mukkesh Tyagi, Viren Shah and Raza Murad. Nineteen-year-old Krushnaa Patil, the courageous Puneite to scale Mount Everest, who bagged the award in the Women Achiever category, said she now wanted to create awareness of the effects of global warming such as melting glaciers. Planning Commission member Narendra Jadhav, on receiving his award for Excellence in Education, stressed that, Education is the only thing that can change an entire generation. Sam Pitroda, who started the Yellow Revolution in India (STD and PCO booths), received the global Indian award. He could not attend the event as he was in the US and had a dinner engagement with Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. At the end of the ceremony, Charan Singh Sapra, who instituted the awards 12 years ago, was a happy man. Not surprising he sang Chalte Chalte Mere Yeh Geet Yaad Rakhna straight from his heart when he was asked to hum his favourite number.

The stars came down in all their glory. It was a night to be remembered as everyone looked on with pride and admiration at the coveted Black Lady was presented to the deserving winners. A true celebration of excellence in Indian Cinema, the 56th Idea Filmfare Awards 2010 held at the YRF studios in Mumbai on the 29th of January, 2011 was a larger than life spectacle, a glorious representation of its legacy of over five decades. Through the years, Filmfare has become the most awaited event in the industry as everyone looks forward to this night of nights. With a slew of performances by the biggest names in filmdom, the annual Idea Filmfare Awards is now an extravagant gala of glitz, glamour, excitement and entertainment. This year, the 56th Idea Filmfare Awards was hosted by the new kings of cool -- the very suave Imran Khan and charming Ranbir Kapoor who bought the house down with their wit and humour. The performances were power packed with the beautiful Madhuri Dixit unleashing her magic and spellbinding the audience as she danced with Shahrukh Khan to hits from their movies like Devdas and Dil To Pagal Hain. Kareena Kapoor had everyone dancing to her tunes with a medley of songs from 3 Idiots, Golmaal 3, and Jab We Met. Priyanka Chopra set pulses racing and raised the temperature a good few notches with her tribute to Madhuri Dixit. she danced to hits like Ek Do Teen, Choli Ke Peeche and Dola Re. Amongst the other performers were the melodious Sonu Nigam, Bollywood's new blue eyed girl, Sonakshi Sinha, Anushka Sharma and Ranveer Singh who performed on a medley of songs from last year's box office hit Band Bajaa Baraat. Celebrating 25 years in the film industry, Madhuri Dixit was presented a special honour by the gorgeous Aishwarya Rai Bachchan; whilst Yash Chopra and Shahrukh Khan honoured Bollywood icon, Mr Amitabh Bachchan commemorating his 40 years of absolute dedication to the Indian film industry. The Lifetime Achievement Award was presented to legendary singer Manna De who received the honor amidst accolades and praise for his outstanding contribution to Indian Cinema. The stars came down in all their glory. It was a night to be remembered as everyone looked on with pride and admiration at the coveted Black Lady was presented to the deserving winners. A true celebration of excellence in Indian Cinema, the 56th Idea Filmfare Awards 2010 held at the YRF studios in Mumbai on the 29th of January, 2011 was a larger than life spectacle, a glorious representation of its legacy of over five decades. Through the years, Filmfare has become the most awaited event in the industry as everyone looks forward to this night of nights. With a slew of performances by the biggest names in filmdom, the annual Idea Filmfare Awards is now an extravagant gala of glitz, glamour, excitement and entertainment. This year, the 56th Idea Filmfare Awards was hosted by the new kings of cool -- the very suave Imran Khan and charming Ranbir Kapoor who bought the house down with their wit and humour. The performances were power packed with the beautiful Madhuri Dixit unleashing her magic and spellbinding the audience as she danced with Shahrukh Khan to hits from their movies like Devdas and Dil To Pagal Hain. Kareena Kapoor had everyone dancing to her tunes with a medley of songs from 3 Idiots, Golmaal 3, and Jab We Met. Priyanka Chopra set pulses racing and raised the temperature a good few notches with her tribute to Madhuri Dixit. she danced to hits like Ek Do Teen, Choli Ke Peeche and Dola Re. Amongst the other performers were the melodious Sonu Nigam, Bollywood's new blue eyed girl, Sonakshi Sinha, Anushka Sharma and Ranveer Singh who performed on a medley of songs from last year's box office hit Band Bajaa Baraat. Celebrating 25 years in the film industry, Madhuri Dixit was presented a special honour by the gorgeous Aishwarya Rai Bachchan; whilst Yash Chopra and Shahrukh Khan honoured Bollywood icon, Mr Amitabh Bachchan commemorating his 40 years of absolute dedication to the Indian film industry. The Lifetime Achievement Award was presented to legendary singer Manna De who received the honor amidst accolades and praise for his outstanding contribution to Indian Cinema.
